L&E Salaried Partners of Fishbowl, what is your base salary and what firm do you work for? Is it worth it?
Considering a Finance VP position at a major bank in NYC. Was initially offered 160k base + 50k variable. Shared my base range and they came back with 190k base + 50k variable. Base is still lower than my range and variable interestingly didn’t change. Was told that’s all part of a “black box” calc? All discussions have been verbal, no written offer yet. Is this a reasonable comp package? Can I ask for more detail on how they calculated? Can/Should I counteroffer once the written offer comes in?
I am on a client project and I really don’t like the project itself. Aside from that, my program director is difficult to deal with. I’ve only been with the company 6 mo and I feel this experience hasn’t been very good. The company tells us to roll off if we’re the project is not a good fit, but idk how sincere that actually is. Should i roll off?
Stub year: I got an email 3 weeks ago (including last week) about reviewing the record for an answer. I know that’s not going to be a fun one, but the email is from a partner I have worked with and really like. They also CCed a senior associate I haven’t worked with yet. How should I follow up or should I just not? Thanks!

I am going to be starting a job working in an academic laboratory at a school in Western NY as a lab tech, and was offered 32k salary. I have a BS in Med lab science and have been working in clinical research for the past three years since school. Negotiating them to go higher has not been very successful so I’m hoping to get a sense whether this is a fair salary for my experience? I’ll be cutting my salary more than in half from my job in clinal research but trying to get into PhD program.
Just graduated with Bachelors in Healthcare Management with an emphasis on patient safety/quality. My current position, that I’ve had since before graduation, does not offer upward movement and I’m miserable. I’ve been in healthcare for 7+ years with a very broad range of customer service/insurance/process improvement roles. I’ve applied to hundreds of jobs, had only a handful of interviews, which have all ghosted. What am I doing wrong here? Any advice appreciated.
Just a question for those here. What does anyone see as a job outlook for a pharmacy technician that has 15 years of experience and is studying for the CPhT? I would like to return to 100% remote work and, understandably, most job postings that are about my caliber are requiring the cert. I am thinking of possibly pivoting into an IT job that would be fully remote later on down the road, but I’m interested in seeing what is possible now (and an average pay) for someone with my experience.
