I just graduated 1.5yrs ago, but have gratefully made my way into a Sr. Accountant position at a ~120 saas company managing books, p&ls, 606 rev recs, powerbi analytics, & all things finance for our 20MM of revenue. I feel like I’ve already reached my growth limit here and the next position up is my boss’s CFO position. I’m trying to break into big tech as a fin. analyst or rev rec specialist, but they always want someone with more experience. What should I do / any recommendations? 70k comp.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].

I just graduated this past May with a degree in computer science and accepted first job offer as an engineer at 84k no bonus in Massachusetts. However, I keep hearing that people are getting 150k-250k (includes bonuses) as an entry level salary. What are your thoughts on that? Is 84k as a first job salary good in MA?

Do you feel 15% of gross is good incentive for referrals into their prospects and customers that need complex integration and custom development solutions? We have paid this to the reps company before but the rep is the one with the relationship. Where possible we prefer to comp the rep. Hey all- I’m a L&D Professional with some sales experience. I want to jump into Sales L&D but many roles require sales experience. I’ve helped close complex sales for large scale project work but have never been held accountable to monthly revenue targets since it wasnt my primary role with the exception of a brief time spent as an SDR. Looking for input if I should just go for Sales L&D positions or start as an AE and then apply for Sales L&D. Currently have interview for AE role with Gartner.

I’ve been in Tech Sales for 12+ years and for the last couple of years I’ve been hitting a massive wall i.e. depressed, not passionate about the job, frustrated, etc. I know this can be a common thing in sales, but I think I’m leaning towards walking away from sales entirely.
