I hold a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree with 10 plus years of HR experience and believe my market value is worth more around the $80k- $90k range than my current compensation. Received an offer from Amazon but I'm concerned about negotiating hard and ending up with an offer that's on the higher end of the pay band when compared to the rest of the (future) team. My concern is during an economic downturn, it would be easier to let me go if the team needs to be downsized. Currently interviewing at JPMorgan in their CIB division for a associate operations role. Have met with 5 people for two different teams and another person for another team, all of which I believe are 3 total open positions for 3 different teams. Any insight on the interview process or how long it takes or any sort of idea to give me on what I could look for that might help me believe I might get an offer? EY PAS said that they can’t offer more than 115k for senior associate in Chicago. I find that ridiculously low since accenture t&o is offering people 140k to join as a consultant. It is from my understating that ey associate is equal to analyst and sr analyst at Accenture. Then senior associate is equal to consultant/ sr consultant. What am i missing here?

I see news articles all the time about Big 4 entering the legal market. Has anyone heard of this? I’m curious to see if an attorney providing legal services while working at B4 will make the same as a big law associate. Could this be the end of the huge big law starting salary?

How do you all feel about Return to Office with the delta variant now getting serious? Things look like they’re getting more serious, even with a vaccine.

Im a junior and I get a lot of random please run redlines, please send documents from the system at 8pm, 10pm, etc, and they expect me to respond right away (which is fine because I'm home and its an easy task). I usually stay on to check emails until 10pm-12am. BUT when we go back to office, how will we handle those random tasks that require immediate attention? What if im in the middle of my commute? Do we just not go home until late? Will the expectation to be on 24 7 relax a bit?

In my 6th year and want to make the push for partner. My sense is that year 8-10 is where people elevate. What kind of stuff should I be thinking about to set myself up for promotion?
