Any ideas around employee appreciation gifts? My teams are working around the clock. We already have unlimited time off so I can’t give comp days. Want to give them something thoughtful

Spot bonus or AMEX gift cards valued at one full days worth of work (blended rate). :)

Personally I wouldn’t want more time with the team members that I’m already spending long hours with lol...give them individual gift cards or gifts and it’ll be cool for people to share (if they want) what they treated themselves to

Round the clock work=Starbucks gift cards. If you're not constrained too much by budget, then a night out with the team (bowling, billiards, escape rooms w/ drinks, sporting event or performance) is a thoughtful gesture. Thanks for showing appreciation for your team!

like

Pay attention to the team and personalize the gifts if you can. I have some people on my team that would prefer fun outings so we give them an activity gift card and an afternoon off no questions asked, some really need cash so I’ll do an Amex gift card. And/or if they are working around the clock, the big thing is that you find time for them to have a break. Find someone that can alleviate a little stress for each of them for a little time so they can get away and recoup.

like

Give them each $200 (or whatever your budget can afford) to have dinner with their significant other or a friend. They go for dinner and then expense up to $200. Or spa vouchers. Or an extra day or two off.

like

Agree with all of the great ideas above! Hiring a service like Task Rabbit to help them get personal stuff done they can’t get to while working around the clock is also a nice gesture. So is some sort of gift card for a date night or family night to help them get back what they may have missed out on while working long hours.

Agree. More time with the team might not be fun. Let them expense a meal with partner/spouse/bf/gf whatever

Is it easier to take vacation in transactional vs lit? I’m in lit and because our cases can take years, we don’t get coverage for vacations beyond our case team and we’re expected to wait for a lull to take time off. I’m wondering if this is different in corporate since it’s easier to onboard people for coverage. Specifically interested in specialist groups but any answers are welcome!

Came across the concept of “cash envelope stuffing” on youtube. Seems like a pretty good concept to avoid overspending on each category of expenses. I am trying to get some ideas to incorporate this concept using multiple bank accounts/ cards. Where I allocate a set budgeted amount of money each month, to each bank account tagged for a specific category (groceries, vacation, emergency fund, etc). Is this something you have tried or have any ideas on how to go about it? Do you recommend this?
