Do not do virtual improv. Trust me.

I don’t drink but several people have told me this was a great time!

Chiming in just to echo the poster above me who recommended keeping these activities to small groups or using breakout rooms. The all hands on deck Zoom calls can be overwhelming and isolating even before you add in the pressure of a group activity.

There are companies that'll do a virtual cooking or mixology class. My firm did one of those, and it was pretty fun.

Jackbox games are fun for a small group. The cocktail kits that you can order are also fun as an activity, and non-alcoholic cocktails are an option

Trivia is always fun - you can use Teams or Zoom and send people in break out rooms

Trivia. But use Kahoot.

We found that Scattegories was a fun easy game to do via Zoom!

We used a company that set up virtual trivia games, and it worked out OK. There are a bunch out there now.

These are all awesome ideas, thanks a lot!

I started working for a bank and am going through the background check. They found an arrest which was dismissed and the file was sealed a few days after the check. They’re requesting the police report on top of the court order to seal. The police report is BAD. During the arrest (DUI) they wrote the report to make me seem like a complete lunatic. Embellished on several elements of the case. I am worried that giving them this report will cause me to be let go.

Plaintiffs counsel took my clients deposition today. He mentioned that he would likely be ordering the transcripts and I suggested we split the cost of them (in front of court reporter). He got pretty defensive and said absolutely not, it’s unfair to the court reporter, and that it is frowned upon in the industry to do that. Each party orders (and pays for) their own copy. I’m in my 2nd year of practice, never heard such a thing. I’ve actually split the cost before! Curious for insight on this…
