Any ideas for healthy family meals that a (relatively) picky child will eat and that are also easy/quick to prepare? I need inspiration; I want to quit my bad habit of swinging through a drive-thru on my way from from work.

Growing up a picky eater (and tbh still kinda picky today but a million times better than before), the staple meal my mom made was chicken and rice. Put a bunch of chicken in a 9x13, marinade with soy sauce or some other Asian-based seasoning, and serve with rice and try to feed some veggies on the side (which I usually rejected). Easy enough to prep since you can take the chicken out the night before to defrost and marinade throughout the day then just stick it in the oven. Tips for veggie prep: I’ve found I prefer them baked/air-fried over pan-fried/steamed. I’ve learned texture plays a big component in why we picky eaters don’t like certain foods. By baking/airfrying, it changes the texture and incorporates the seasonings I put on it better. But yeah, baked chicken is the easiest way to go from a prep standpoint when not at home (otherwise I’d suggest some slow cooker recipes).

I am going to try this. It sounds like something my kid would eat.

What are our thoughts about physically fighting a belligerent woman as a man? Genuinely curious, I'm a Male and had a woman get physically aggressive with me yesterday and I could tell she was about to throw hands. Luckily the situation was de-escalated. But it got me thinking I have no idea what I would've done if she out her hands on me... My personal opinion used to be never put my hands on a woman unless my child or family is in danger or if she had a weapon But now Idk anymore

Long story short - my nanny has many conservative values - mom shaming breastfeeding in public, gender specific roles, considering boys better than girls etc. it never bothered me before and I have learned to co exist with her however now my toddler is speaking and understanding more I am worried about him being influenced by her. Further she also has comments against my SO being too involved parent & calling out son as cutie, hugging toddler etc as he is a boy. Contd..
