Any ideas for quick exercises/movements that I can do in the middle of the work day? I try to get a run every morning, but I sit through meetings most of the day, so something that keeps me active that takes ~5 minutes at a time?

If you’re working from home nothing stopping you from push ups or shadow boxing (bonus if you do the latter without turning your camera off or muting your mic). When you’re not in the meeting room in person there are other ways to assert dominance.

Push ups, Air squats, sit ups. You can do those all day long.

When we started WFH, I moved one of my barbells and some 25lbs plates to my office to workout throughout the day. I just do 10reps of whatever I’m committing to that day and aim to get 100 reps done by EOD. Each sets only takes 15 secs to a minute at most.

Get out of the chair and stretch your hamstrings, back and hips, maybe using a physio ball. A few pushups and bridges wouldnt hurt. Roll out your quads on a foam roller. Stand and Roll your shoulders back and forward. Move your neck, pretend to write the alphabet with your nose.

I literally do air squats while on calls, because WFH. If you have lots of calls, you’ll have crazy strong legs in no time.

I'm addition to above, maybe get a standing desk (or just a mini version of it that sits on the desk) and use it for a portion of the day.

Or take status or 1:1 calls while walking outside or pacing around the house.

I like that my Fitbit reminds me to move every hour. Usually takes me 3 mins to get in the 250 steps to hit the hourly goal.

I’ve been using the Nike workout app to do quick yoga and workout stuff. The membership is free during COVID.

You could do a 5 minute hiit! Lots of videos on YouTube or you could just create one of your own 😊
