Took a Controller position a year ago at a PE-acquired Manufacturing Company after 7 years of PA. No support staff. Making $76k. 2021's merit increase offering was $2k. The YE Bonus ended up as $1,200(Insulting, especially for accomplishments achieved this past year alone).

Hoping someone could advice on it. I recently accepted a job offer and it has been discussed and confirmed via email/phone that my starting salary is £26k and will raise to £28k after 6 months probationary period. Now, I have been sent the contract but there’s no specific statement about the £28k salary after probation.

It might be a stupid question but I am worried about raising this as an issue. Is this normal? Or is it better to ask for a revised contact with the specifics?

I’m a lawyer based in Europe. I’m lateraling to a firm in a new jurisdiction on Monday and negotiated a decent pay increase a few months ago (new jurisdiction has significantly higher income taxes so negotiated based on a comparable net pay). My old firm has just announced it is increasing salaries by around 15% which will almost negate what I negotiated at new firm. New firm doesn’t review salaries till September. I adopted a dog 2 months ago. She used to love going outside but recently she’s been very reluctant to go (hiding underneath the couch when I say walk or grab the leash, stopping and sitting on the walk). I’m in NYC so it’s getting colder but I bought her jackets which she seems to tolerates, bring high value treats and take her to the dog park on some walks but it doesn’t seem to be helping much.
