How do you not feel guilty when protecting your work-life balance? I am annualizing about 200 hours over my billable requirement and accept new work when asked 99% of the time, but yet I feel guilty leaving the office at 4pm to do family stuff after billing a full day and being on track for all of my projects. Please help.

Rep, company already went public through SPAC, building out acctg dept, some issues to fix. Longer hours in near term, expected to be invited in round 2 of intrviews. If you had an offer from company 1 and still waiting on Company 2, if you had offer from Co 2?

About to move from FDD to an IB analyst role. Anyone in here who has made a similar switch? Likely getting an offer soon - already have planned vacation starting Tuesday until the new year. Do I give notice before I get the written offer/background check so I can leave before holidays but risk offboarding during vacation or give notice my first day back? I’m currently interviewing with a company that has very mixed reviews on Glassdoor. Lots of people complain about the workload and low salaries. Opposing Counsel refuses to acknowledge me in any emails, doesn’t answer my phone calls, and does not include my name on the signature line on any documents even though I am the handling attorney on this file.
