What would be the pay for a grade 11 job at S&P?
Accepted a l5 consultant level offer from Google recently. This was 1 level down from the other position I started interviewing for before it went on hold. I do feel a bit down leveled and a compromise on comp as I didn't have competing offers from other fang.
I see another role open, probably at l6 for lead consultant, same location (austin)Austin. Is it OK to go back to recruiter and ask for this role/position? Google

Unfortunately true 😔 I wish I wasn't this way

Got an offer from Amazon but didn't get selected on H1-B. Currently on L1-B with another company. What can I do now? I can't really go to another country because my wife is employed here.
1. Is there a way for me to retain the offer until the next H1-B lottery?
2. My offer from Amazon was 50% higher than what I make now. Can I ask my current employer to match it?

What do you do when you work for a company that has been acquired and everything changes? Everything is remote so there is no in person meetings, we are so busy they have taken all team meetings away and have mandatory overtime. We have lost so many people and I feel that the ones that have stayed are not being appreciated AT ALL! They are not providing ANY type of incentive for the ones who do show up and EVERYONE is getting burnt out. I am looking for another job outside of company.Empower Retirement

Hours in m&a are unusually high at the moment at Latham across offices. Historically firm tries to informally discourage people billing way above the 1900 bonus minimum but it’s been hard to hold the line in the current absurdly strong m&a market. That seems like more of an industry problem though than a firm problem. There aren’t folks brag complaining about crazy hours like they do in some firms and making you feel like you also need to hit 3,000 hour years.
