Yes - i predominantly use Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI! From my experience, most new hires had an IS minor or double major in a tech background (CS, engineering, or IS).

Particularly in the Atlanta office but I’m interested in learning more about the practice around the country as well.

I’m in TTT in NY. Let me know if you have any questions!

^ Hi! Thanks so much for replying! I used to work at PwC where Alteryx/Tableau was pushed heavily. Does EY use those tools in this group? Also, is this a group that Accounting new hires just get placed into and then have to learn everything on the go or does this group recruit more so people with STEM degrees?

^ that’s awesome! I come from a group that also uses those tools. Do you have your own clients that you work on or are you more so helping other groups at EY with their client work? Also, what does your busy season look like? Thanks so much for your insight! I’m talking to a recruiter about this position and am really excited about it.

Also how much travel is required?

I'm an RN of 7 years, experience as a coordinator, on committees and do all the things. But now I just don't want to go to work anymore. But where do I go? I think I need to step out of patient care.

Do you record your unbillable time? I have had conflicting responses. I have been told it's not good for efficiency calculations but others have told me if your still doing work let people know. For example, I get weird international stuff sometimes that not everyone gets (I think maybe? ) and I need to reread the 5471 rules or 8865 rules as I do the returns. I have been told not to bill for this but if I didn't have to spend time to do such things my billable hours would be higher

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
