I don’t, but I work in another LBBS office and I love it.

What’s the pay like?

I’m in the NY office on a GL team. Great people. Pay is significantly below market. Despite the constant pats on the back and positive feedback on my work, the yearly raise was insulting. Huge firm though so could be different in other offices. If you’re interviewing make sure to seriously negotiate your salary and interview your interviewer!

Also, they may tell you salaries are based on graduation year. That is untrue and I found out from a managing partner.

How should you go about getting a raise when you’re able to compare posted salary ranges from competing companies?

Hi all! Do you ever discuss bonuses and annual raises during your end of year review in a large lockstep firm? Do you ever even get a chance to discuss your bonus directly or is it a discretionary decision which follows your end of year review, during which you highlight your achievements? I was told that the bonus structure cannot be shared and that it’s discretionary, but I also want to stop being shy and awkward when it comes to $$$ and ask for what I want and deserve

What’s base salary in line with street for first-year analysts (Markets) for PARIS updated after the 2021 raise? I know the standard for London increased from £50k to £75k and was wondering if it is on the same scale

When is it appropriate to ask during the interview process if there is a sign on bonus? If it’s not appropriate, and one isn’t offered during the verbal offer - do you ask for one then?

Anyone with insight into what corporate development is like at financial services firms?

After accepting an offer, I requested the recruiter to push out the start date by 2 weeks of what was listed in the original offer. Now I kind of wish I pushed it out 4 weeks instead. Does it look bad to request another change to the start date and I should avoid it? Or it’s not really a big deal and I should ask the recruiter to push it out again? Current start date is still about a month away. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I lost my job today 😔. I am a Sr. Business Analyst on AEM (Adobe Experience Manager). Have total 13 years of experience in IT.
Please let me know if you have/see any matching opportunities in your firm or anywhere else. TIA!

I was laid off a month ago and still find myself processing a lot of grief and anger, any tips? slowly realizing that my ex coworkers are not my friends when I somehow expected them to be — see them hanging out without me all the time and I’m trying to move past my emotions of frustration and sadness when seeing that :((

When that per diem hits your direct deposit!

An internal recruiter reached out to me asking me to apply to a position with the firm. It’s a specialized practice but they need a corporate associate and am not. Thoughts? Should I apply or was this just another mass mail?

Going off my other post - do you think audit staff should at least understand how Statement of CF works? Wanna adjust my expectations going forward lol

In light of everything that is going on, I would like to quote a simple yet powerful line from Prophet Mohammad (SAW) last sermon, in which he (SAW) says:

“A white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white – except by piety and good action.”

Has anyone quit right before their promotion to manager? How did it turn out for you? I’m only a couple months away but unhappy and completely burned out

I’m thinking about taking a loan out of my 401K to buy a property. This would be our second as we intend to rent the first one out. Curious thoughts on this strategy?
