My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?

Curious how much a CD makes at Droga?

Looking for a permanent agency position. Why is it that more and more, I find that 20 years of experience is a negative and something I have to hide?

I recently “came out” at my ad agency and listed my pronouns as they/them on zoom and in my email signature. I’m not expecting perfection at all and I’ve posted in Teams with helpful articles, offering to chat if people have questions.

But still, 95% of the company refuses to even address me by my pronouns, remotely try, or ask anything.

The agency itself is led by older conservative men, but I guess I expected at least some effort from younger employees.

What should I do?

What are more places like IDEO? Something like an agency that’s hard to define. Champions problem solving. Innovating. Creating change. Or just companies for creative people that aren’t ad agencies.

When a male team comes up with an idea it’s “they’re amazing”. When it’s a female team it’s “huge team effort!”. Anyone notice that or is it just my agency?
