Slalom Consulting or UBS Group Internal Consulting? I received offers from both and need to make a decision soon. Slalom pays MUCH better, but UBS is a bigger name and will probably look better on MBA applications in the future? Also, for a fresh college grad entering the consulting world, is it better to take an in-house consultant or external consultant role as a first job? Please help a confused college senior out. I moved cities and my company is giving me 12% decrease in my salary. My current salary is within my new cities range, and I am definitely not paid market rate to begin with…also for context I have always been a high performer, have many relevant certifications, and am involved with initiatives outside my billable work

I’m not interested in accepting a decrease this large. What happens if you don’t accept it? Do you see if they come back with something more reasonable or will they fire you?
