My PD is Jan 2020 and some of the websites I checked say that it might become current in March 2021. It might not seem to far but feels like forever in a dead end job
You can change jobs regardless of GC
When is your PD?
It won’t become current for some time if ever under current rules. What is your PD?
Same situation! Hoping we see a big leap in October 🙁
What’s your PD? Would be happy to share details with you
OP - you should stick around for a few more months. EB1 will be current for sure
There were news reports in the past couple of weeks that about 100k unused family GC is being transferred to work based GC for 2021. If my understanding is right, the EB1 would be the first preference for this unused quota. In that case there should be a big leap in priority date for EB1 this October and November.
So OP , hold on for few more months.
Deloitte1 Your understanding is incorrect. This is how it works: - All countries quota goes up due to spillover - But not all will consume 7% visas. Only countries like China, Mexico, UK, etc. will hit the max 7% cap. Small countries like Chile will consume only say 1%. 6% will not be consumed by them - Now the spillover game starts. All the extra visas will be allocated to the oldest PD first. This means EB1 INDIA will get the max number of visas left after all the bigger countries hit the cap and all the smaller ones are current. - This will move EB1 india significantly next year.
