Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?
Hi, I have an offer for the position of Senior Associate at pwc AC Bangalore. Can you please tell if there is a permanent wfh and will they give it in writing. And how is the WLB at PWC AC Bangalore. Is it true that I will have to frequently work late at night. Is the shift timings 9 to 6 as the hr told me or it usually extends? Pwc AC PwC

McKinsey & Company How likely is McKinsey to rescind an offer if there's a recession/downturn before my start date? Received an Associate offer with a start date early in the Fall. But I'm worried about the offer being rescinded due to the ongoing McK scandals/issues and a potential recession in the making (which may prompt them to freeze hiring and/or renege offers).
Has this happened to anyone before at McKinsey, offer getting rescinded due to economic/company downturn? A bit worried

Following this to see who would ever enjoy being an internal auditor
Following. Thinking of switching out of external audit
Coach
I have a friend who worked with me in public and is now in IA and loves it. I think like most jobs it depends on the company, people, work hours, your personality and career goals, etc
I have heard tons of people say they hated it or they did it and then the travel got old
I love it! The place totally matters so make sure you pick the right one. I went to a fairly large company with a great culture and work life balance. I thought external auditing was incredibly boring
Direct reports are staff similar to public. I feel as valued as I did in public. No one wants to be audited but it’s a public company so everyone understands. I thought FS audits were boring because it’s the same thing over and over again. Even as I moved up and had less grunt work it all was the same. I even worked in different industries but felt like I was doing the same thing everyday with different people. I did move over to control auditing more in public before I left. Wasn’t a fan of the firm and didn’t really like public so went IA. It’s a great landing spot for an industry gig too since you can see so much of the company.
I've done the opposite (did IA in industry and PA before switching to external) and for me it came down to personal preference. I like working with numbers more than controls.
Same here, except did B4 IA and now am regional PA external. Highly dependent upon company, but a good gauge is what part of external you like. If you love walkthroughs, control design/testing and risk assessment, then IA is likely for you. If you like technical actg, FS reporting, detailed analysis etc., then stick in PA or go for a traditional industry role. I missed researching FASB standards and wanted more financial analysis experience, which is why I moved to PA-external.
I have worked in IA in industry and for PwC and love it. I was never an external auditor.
Working as senior manager in IA now in industry.. boring, less challenging, control focused... however, extremely chilled compared to external audits (my experience only). Will need to sit my ass for couple of years before moving to VP level.. if you move to industry IA, make sure you look at the Company really well.. financial benefit alone shdnt decide ur move
