Any IVF mamas(-to-be) not experience any morning sickness? I’m 8.5 weeks and I’ve had nothing; baby looked good as of last week’s ultra. Wondering if the HRT is messing with me, or if it’ll hit soon? I now have a ton of anxiety about whether things are going ‘ok’

I had IVF last year and gave birth to a beautiful, healthy girl in November. I did t have one day of morning sickness. I did have small bouts of light nausea in the beginning but nothing a little ginger tea couldn’t cure. I always asked the doc about the morning sickness and if my lack of it was concerning. She told me no and thank my lucky stars. 😀

Not an IVF momma but for what it’s worth, I only had nausea for one week and zero committing. I’m halfway now and things are looking good. Not all of us get sick!

IVF mom of a 4 month old baby and never had any nausea or vomiting. I was worried too and then realized why am I worried not to have such a crappy side effect. I was glad to not be nauseous

That’s awesome! Enjoy every second without sickness!!! I’m an IVF mama and had it for my entire pregnancy; it was not fun at all.

Never been pregnant, but trained as a doula and want to reiterate that every pregnancy is different — even if you go on to have multiple different pregnancies you may have entirely different symptoms from pregnancy to pregnancy. While morning sickness is a pretty common experience, it’s not universal, and its absence does not correlate to any negative outcomes. Sending positive thoughts for a healthy pregnancy!

Thank you all! I am just so on edge about miscarriage risk right now that I’m reading into every symptom (or lack thereof). Hopefully I can learn to embrace this as a feature and not a bug 😊 So encouraged to hear that I’m not alone in this!

OP - not IVF but 100% feel you. I had basically no nausea, my only real symptom was being SO tired from weeks 8-13. I was even craving water, and at one point the person who drew my blood at an appt was like “oh wow I never hear that from pregnant women!” 😰 Thank god I had an ultrasound 20 mins later to see my baby wiggling around. I’m 22 weeks now and just bought my first “item” for the baby last weekend (I just couldn’t get excited until recently). The “best” advice would be to “try not to worry and enjoy it” but I know that’s not very actionable so instead sending hugs, calm, and lots of positivity!! Congratulations!!

Mom to 1 month old IVF baby and experienced no nausea/vomitting in 1st trimester, just some discomfort through out the day but won’t call it nausea. Had severe headache in 2nd trimester for 1st month but rest all went smoothly for major part of time.

IVF mama here (currently feeding my infant!) - I had morning sickness only one day in my whole pregnancy. I felt nervous and guilty because I felt so good while many pregnant friends were sick or tired. Every body is different, I guess. ❤️ to you

Non IVF mama here but I didn’t have morning sickness until my third month and it only had it for that month. Count your blessings!

Morning sickness isn’t an indication of a healthy or better pregnancy! If you’re feeling well, that is amazing!! Ultrasound is a great indicator of how things are going and you said that looked great! Morning sickness is awful, so cross your fingers that you’ve escaped it! I had bad morning sickness, but it was worse some days than others, which always made me worried on the ‘easier’ days that something was wrong. And then I worried I’d hurt the baby from throwing up so violently and not eating. Anxiety sucks, but hang in there mama!

26 weeks pregnant from IVF. Still waiting for the nausea and vomiting :-). Never happened and all is going fine.

I’m 8 weeks pregs via IVF and had maybe 1 mini episode of nausea. Worrisome but baby is healthy so 🤷🏻‍♀️. As long as the baby is healthy, I think you are good!

Not everyone has nausea. Don’t overthink it and consider yourself lucky

I didn’t have anything until week 9 and then was miserable week 9-13

I think my 2yr old son is having severe social anxiety issues… he is perfectly fine at home, playing and laughing and talking. But outside especially when other people get closer to him (especially small kids at his age) he immediately freaks out, becomes very anxious, and would try to flee the scene as soon as possible. Ever since he’s a baby we take him to play ground everyday and he is still the same. Any moms experienced the same?

Can anyone opine on NY 529 plans? Have one kid and debating if it is beneficial. I like the tax benefits it provides but not sure if the advantages go away if I end up relocating outside US after 4-5 years, or if my kid decides to not study in US or NY in future. Any opinions would be really helpful.

I didn't get the July payment or a letter so I checked the IRS site which said pending eligibility, likely because they are still sitting on my timely efiled straightforward 2020 return. Then today, I get the letter from POTUS saying the IRS estimates I'll get $800 starting July 15 (nope). Checked online again and still pending.

Need a birthday gift idea for my dad turning almost 70 this weekend! He had always been a cheerful, sociable, health-conscious person until he had an unfortunate heart condition last year and is practically disabled now. Need a live-in nurse to help him walk, shower, etc. His mind, cognitive is still great. He’s very low-key, down to earth, and always say no need to get him gifts. I want this birthday to be very special for him and make him feel optimistic about life. Appreciate any views -x
