Supposed to be going to Aruba on August 29th for a week (booked when they had like 12 cases total). They’ve upped some restrictions (masks, no more than 4 people at a table, etc) but after messaging a ton of restaurants and beach bars, still seem to want visitors and it would be similar to going to a beach here in the US. I am doing relatively well in my firm, and have been told to apply for promotion to senior assoc (1 year ahead of peers). However I have been feeling burnt out and am unsure whether I want to be doing law in 20 years’ time. My wife wants me to quit private practice and I have an opportunity to go in house. When should I start to get worried that corporate is so slow? Have only billed 230 hours for the year so far and it doesn’t seem like things are picking up soon so getting nervous since my firm has a billable hours minimum requirement.

I'm on a long term project (likely to continue on in perpetuity) and the relationship among team members is getting kind of crazy. A lot of stress seems to be building up among partners. I already accepted new firm’s offer but Partner still hasn’t discussed anything with me and at this point I need to start discussing with the other Partners about my transition.
