Hello, All! I'm looking for recommendations on inspirational content for women leaders. I follow TEDWomen, many podcasts, and the Women's Conference among other sources. I'd love to hear a fresh perspective on business, trends, tech, marketing, equality in the workforce, etc. I'd love to learn something new. I'm at the VP level and have started a couple of companies, so nothing too junior, but open to many topics. Please share any speakers, books, webinars, or events that you may come across.

I have been reading posts from newer associates about bad things partners have done or said to them and I think it could be fun for some of us more senior lawyers in the bowl to tell stories of mean things partners did or said to us when we were new associates. Hopefully it stays mostly light and not horrible things.

Decision - I was out the door of my nationwide ins dfense firm. Was going to top local firm with a lot more clout where everything would be private pay and I’d be more on bigger exposure cases. However, my firm outmatched the new firm, made a much better bonus structure, and said I could do more work with their complex bus lit group. I’d still likely do about 50 percent ins defense but I really like the partners I work for, and I handle own cases/take depos, and get autonomy. Am I right to stay?

Has anyone tried any of the online law business courses that aim to help you start your own small firm (New law business model, wealthy women lawyer, etc)? How were they? I’m thinking of what my next step will be after biglaw and it might be to go solo in an area I’m unfamiliar with, so these courses seem like they could be helpful. But they also seem like they could be kinda scammy. Especially since I mostly see them in ads on insta and touting (likely unrealistic) large earning potential.
