How do you tell a company that you have upcoming in-person interviews for, that you want to withdraw from the process? Did some more research and it doesn’t sound like a good place to be at.

INDUSTRY VS CONSULTING COMPARISON THREAD

Joining Industry has been pretty interesting. I’d love to hear about the little nuances you’ve noticed after making the switch.

I’ll go first:
- The concept of a “boss” is very real. This person is largely responsible for your career, knows your salary, and has influence in things like internal transfers
- The idea of working FOR your boss is also new
- No time sheets or utilization
- Decks and presentation skills are way less polished

Received ECT AD in ops at BCG. I have two questions:
1. Is it difficult for these roles to get utilization/billability targets?
2. If I work for say 3-5 years, opportunity for good industry exits?
