I really liked this video from one of my fav beauty bloggers on how she is getting through quarantine using lessons from therapy: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFPjIdzOl84 - worth it regardless of the beauty aspects
Favorite online or printable lesson plan format that works for high school periods and not just elementary teachers?
Favorite Ted Lasso lesson?
What do y'all think of this Forbes article? I think placing more ownership in the hands of internal SME's is valid, but entirely removing consultants whom have lessons learned through the practice of numerous large transformations would be a mistake https://www.forbes.com/sites/steveandriole/2020/07/29/stand-aside-mckinsey-accenture--cap-gemini--the-case-for-internal-consulting-for-digital-transformation/amp/
What lessons did your parents teach you about finances/money before you went off to college?
The hard lessons you learn in the hospital... ALWAYS wear a mask when changing a flexiseal bag or you're going to have a bad day. 💩💩
Any good ideas for teaching students about coins? Our first graders have been struggling to master lessons about money.
Really? Y’all didn’t know that it was him? Well, I hope you know. Learn a lesson in democracy, yet?
Are you finding it easy or challenging to translate your "in person" lessons to an online format?
What's your go-to lesson?
On Monday, we'll have like an hour to go into our classrooms to get anything we need to start making lessons for distance learning. what do i need?
I feel like one of the students with my attention off the lesson (in my case, it is all the grading and feedback I need to complete!) and my attention being pulled to this app and many others🤣 I'm even writing this while I know I shouldn't be...then I'll check for comments...😅
Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Do you like the curriculum? Why or why not? Would you be willing to share what you do weekly/daily? Thanks!
I've been "voluntold" to demo an "enrichment lesson" to be filmed and broadcast on our school district tv channel. I'm totally drawing a blank on what to do...what is broadly appealing from US hist?
I had a dream that I forgot to mute on a weekend firmwide call, began gossiping with my roommie about who's fucking who & what a fluid-covered mess it was, &my boss fake fired me to teach me a lesson
To the partners/directors/senior managers: can you give examples of mistakes/lessons you learned throughout your careers? Any really big F-Ups that really made you think about staying/leaving?
Had to attend to a friend who had a brain hemorrhage. LESSON LEARNT: If you have been having prolonged migraines for more than a couple of weeks please try to get a CT/MRI done to rule out anytg cont.
Has anyone made the jump from Healthcare Consulting into Cloud Healthcare (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)? Any tips/certifications you found helpful?
Trouble networking virtually; I started recently, 3 months ago. I am not sure how projects/internal moves work but I was wondering if anyone has advice on networking virtually? I am finding it tricky because I don't know anyone apart from my team & I can't view Talent Marketplace because I am on a billable project, not sure how long it will go. I enjoy my work and not looking to move just yet, I wanted to see what else is out there and looking for opportunities to network with more people.
For my FAs who are also CPAs (or anyone who knows I guess 😊) - do you know if there is a way to simultaneously get your CPE for the CPA while also preparing for the CFP? Continued in comments...
Help. Working with 2 supervisors on an offering they are both experts in ... they both have visibility into my work... how do I reach out to one of them about a potential new client without getting into trouble if the other finds out? I have my own preference on which I think is best for the job but feel stuck as they both can impact promotion of me
Had been working with an American client for last 2 years.. great rapport and work life balance. Just moved to a new project with a desi client and can immediately tell the difference.. my American client hardly ever had post 6 pm requests.. my desi client texts/calls after 6 regularly and doesn't even think its an intrusion.. anyone else experience this?
Is sharing recruiter email on compensation with Google recruiter breach of NDA ? How have others shown proof of offer to google recruiters in case of competing offer?
Accenture CN peeps, my manager has not been able to staff me to a project for 2 weeks now after my release from one of the projects where the role as as good as content manager’s. I had voluntarily asked for my roll off as the role was just to upload come content on various platforms. They tried allocating me to some internal project but I asked them to staff me on a client facing project. I want to know what is the impact of all this on your performance or relationship with manager etc.?
Hey guys, I'm trying to switch from consulting to product management. What resources/books/courses would you guys recommend for prepping for PM interviews?
Anyone willing to PM me with their Marriott Ambassadors contact info? Mine resigned and I need someone to work magic on a property that won’t let me book with points for a family vacation. TYIA!
Client: “sorry I’m too busy to have a 30 minute meeting with you this week”. Also client: *starts work at 9am, takes hour lunch, leaves at 4:30* 🙃
I was told I'd be allowed to transfer to a new project, after 6 months. So, I decided to stay with the firm and declined 2 external offers. I have just found that I'm being forced to stay on a project that I hate. Should I bring this up to my coach and mention the offers? I'm wanting to drive home the point that I will be leaving if this continues.
What's the worst industry to work in, and why?
Is it possible to move to Big4/RSM/BDO as a senior manager coming from a midsize (top 20) as a manager? Applied at a couple of firms so far but they only want to interview for a manager role. I have 8+ YOE for what it’s worth
Which type of client do you hate the most: 1) the "I'll know it when I see it" 2) the "make the logo bigger... Again" or 3) the client that constantly changes their mind ?
I’m a new manager and am trying to get off a client. Need guidance if I should do it. I work with a very nice senior manager who is up for partner. She gave me a very decent review. The client is horrible though. Piecemeal review comments, constant updates workpapers and last minute changes. The only good thing is working with this senior manager. She is also my counselor. I asked her to get off of this account, and she said the firm probably won’t allow it. I have another senior manager I work
https://www.businessinsider.com/cost-culture-clash-50bn-deal-france-lost-to-us-uk-2021-9 Seems like crazy long vacations in Europe didn’t work well for their clients.
Anyone have a DUI prior to applying for a job at big4? Curious how the firms view one on a background check, particularly one that’s old (almost 10 years).
