Any major differences working at B4 vs Accenture?

See posts on here and on Reddit about people with horrible WLB. All my other friends in B4 are drowning in work. 6 months in... nothing too bad and everyone’s super respectful of my time. Am I in for a rude awakening at some point lol?

PSA to all associates: having been around the block, I hate to see the notion being sold that recruiters have information about positions that are not listed. When it comes to lateral associate recruiting between big law firms, the vast majority of firms post all their positions online. It makes simple economic sense because then they get more associates applying. The whole notion that recruiters even have deep connections to law firms is also usually garbage for associate recruiting. Continued.

Partners: looking for advice on how to articulate my story of being laid off from the strategy arm of a Big 4 in August. I was a strong performer (above expectation across all areas: util., sales, managed rev, project reviews, and upward feedback), and was told it my was tenure (<1 yr at firm), comp range, and a low forecasted dept. rev, that played a part. When I tell this story, I get the sense that it is “hard to believe”. Why would a firm lay off a high performer. Any thoughts?
