I love being a lawyer but don't recommend it. Many jobs available are awful. It's a cut throat career.
I am a lawyer that would love to be a management consultant
DM me if you'd like to swap stories

Op, one of our new associates spent seven years as an Accenture consultant before applying to law school. A lot of her consulting involved mergers and acquisitions and she decided that she wanted to be running the deals. She’s super happy so far. DM me if you want an introduction. I’m sure she would be happy to speak with you.
I’m an accenture consultant myself going to law school. Would love to chat further if that’s okay?
Why do you want to switch? I think some reasons are pretty legit and others are pretty poor.
I’m a former McK consultant. Tech law jobs can be good. But you have to weigh that good outcome against the path to get there. Law school is obviously expensive, both in tuition and opportunity cost. Then you’ll almost certainly have to practice in a firm for some number of years, and I think most would agree that Biglaw is worse than consulting. The only advantage is less travel, if you don’t like travel. (I personally enjoyed consulting travel for the most part.)
The other factor to keep in mind is it’s far easier to enter industry as a consultant because you are competitive for several different functions, whereas if you have a JD the opportunities are much narrower.
