Any MBB fish that have exited to Boutique firms? Does the MBB experience carry enough weight to bridge the gap boutique firms face winning new business?

If you don’t already have clients - would not not bank on getting them just from having MBB on your LinkedIn..

What I’m really trying to understand is how boutiques are winning new business. Is it a matter of clients getting what they want at a fraction of the cost or is more leveraging relationships regardless of who you are, what you did before and what you’re doing now?

How do you advocate for a "level" promotion in a company that has vague unofficial descriptions of levels? I'm doing L4-5 (on standard levels, or L3 within our system) work but can't get away from the unofficial "L2".

Making 140k with 7 yrs experience in this role, and 12 prior years experience in Systems Engineering roles. I know someone on my team is at 180k with a similar career.

Fighting with my manager atm on definitions of levels and feel like its a red herring.

Need some honest advice. So I’ve been at the firm for a little 7 months this is my first job after college and I absolutely hate it. I have two degrees in tech and business. Currently I am doing auditing and it’s just not for me. Am I crazy for quitting current role and looking another job? Or do I stick out a couple months for 1 year mark then leave ?

2. Analyst 18 months (tech company, good experience, 15k more per year, small/can’t promote me yet)

Advice needed! I started at an ID firm only a few months ago after a long stint doing in-house litigation. I was referred to the firm by a very good friend who also still works there. A management position at my old in-house firm has now been offered to me. Higher salary obviously and no billables. I am seriously dreading talking to my new boss and telling my friend that I want to go back in-house. Has anyone dealt with something similar? I just feel so bad and don’t want to burn bridges

How tough is it to break into a FAANG PM role at mid-level if you have less prestigious experience? I have 10+ YOE in product, but some was at a tiny meh startup that fizzled out, some was in the digital wing of a large old healthcare org, and though my current role is GPM at a “name brand” tech company, it’s on the smaller side. Went to a good-but-not-Ivy school. What qualifications and experience are FAANG companies looking for when hiring mid-level PMs? Can I break in at mid-level from here?

4 YOE in Federal consulting. Currently a C at $85K and just received a 5/5 performance review with super positive feedback from my team and leadership. Noted that I was the top performer and was doing stuff at a senior level.

How realistic would it be to break $100K+ in jumping elsewhere? Either at C/SC level. Might be a silly question but I want see others perspective. TIA!
