How do you stand out during interviews when the vast majority of candidates have a similar background? Starting to feel like the kid who didn't get picked for the team.
Took me a long time to figure out: 1) don’t interview for jobs, interview the boss you will be reporting to 2) don’t count on your employer for anything ( including your finances) have 2 or 3 side
Owner of a small agency, here. Am considering making an offer to a partner at Accenture/another MBB to come help build our digital transformation practice. Advice on this strategy and on my outreach?
Does stint from MBB or consulting in general really helps to get a notch higher than otherwise? I have seen many exits in which the opportunity would hv been available even without the consulting exp

I interviewed for a job in a diff location and during interviews they asked me multiple times how I felt abt relocating. I said it was fine, but the more I think about it the less I’m open to relocating. I now have an offer from them, is there anyway to negotiate no relocation? They are remote until mid year 2021. I’m Happy to fly in on a monthly basis but I don’t want to move there.

Can you wear business casual to an interview
Applying to industry after 2 yrs in a data-heavy strategy consulting role, and running into an odd problem: people are automatically putting me into a "heavy-quant" box and becoming apprehensive of my fit for a business role (strategy, FP&A, etc). 2 Qs: 1. Does this sound plausible, or am I overthinking based on a small sample? 2. How would you highlight your fit/interest in moderately quantitative roles? Consultants generally like my "Context> result> personal contribution" format of bullets
Trying to update my resume so I can start applying and interviewing to AAS positions from audit as an A3 but am having a lot of trouble on how to structure it and layout my experiences. Anyone willing to share their resume template with me? Willing to pay $20 🙏🏽
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Case interview prep: we all know how to do this post-MBA, but how to approach this for a lateral to MBB as a manager? Where to find "advanced" cases?
Do any of the MBBs consult for FAANG or top tech companies? Or do all those companies exclusively use in house strategy teams? If any MBB does, a referral would be much appreciated
From talking to students at multiple M7 schools, it seems like all of the BB/MBB/FAANG companies recruit at most if not all of the schools . So if you're planning on recruiting for one of these, is there really a major difference in career opportunities between each school? Asking because it seems like some schools are specifically known for finance vs consulting vs tech, but if the companies are all recruiting at all these schools, the differences don't seem as pronounced to me.
How does Guidehouse Commercial Travel? (Types of Hotels? First class >3h? Per diem/actual?) Also are there any other perks? (Phone? Profit sharing? 401k match?)

Hi friends! I know mental health is very private but wondering if anyone on here has been diagnosed bipolar and would be willing to speak to me? Best friend has been diagnosed and is swinging very fast between manic & depressive states while their doctors find the right balance of medication & therapy. Can someone in CPI explain what raises/bonuses look like for an analyst? I’ve heard year 1 raise + Consultant promo raise in May. Is that the case?
Is your organization planning to require employees be vaccinated? I understand why management wants this but concerned about losing good employees because they don’t believe in vaccination or are wanting to wait until more people have been vaccinated to see if there are issues with it. I’m also concerned with moral if we require this. Employees may get it to keep there job but hold on to some bitterness or develop anxiety over it. Am I being too soft or over analyzing?
