Booz Allen Hamilton 🐠:
I've asked a few questions for my sister, passing another one along.
Is there defined promotion criteria from LA to SA? Or does it depend on admin chain, org, and/or politics?
She is looking at LA positions now as a potential comeback kid, and while she was at BAH 10+ years ago, she's forgotten the details, though they'd likely be severely outdated even if she remembered.
TIA!

Belong to Yale Club and NYAC. Depends on what you’re looking for in a club.
I think Yale Club has better events with better speakers. The facilities are also awesome now that they’re almost done updating them.
NYAC is a nice club for when you’re a young member or if you play a masters sport and are pretty competitive with it. I only use this club for my masters program anymore or the roof in the summer, which is pretty tops to have nearby the office. If you have kids, NYAC is great for Travelers Island too. I went to the camp when I was a kid in NYC, it’s great. Facilities overall are a little dated. Food is pretty rotten.
Really depends on how much you want to spend, what vibe you want and industry you’re in. If you’re in a creative field, Norwood & Soho House might work. If you went to an Ivy that has a club & travel, consider joining - if u travel, enjoy the reciprocal clubs. I’d consider the NYAC or The University Club https://www.universityclubny.org/default.aspx?p=DynamicModule&pageid=394573&ssid=316864&vnf=1
Ps I don’t know how one joins the Yale Club without having attended.
Same thoughts. Depends do you want sports or networking socializing? Understand it can be both but you’re unlikely to network leaps and bounds at Crunch. If u went to private schools or Ivy you should suck it up and join whatever applies - Yale Club, Williams, etc. NYAC & NY Raquet Club are worth joining as are other things like Junior League or Downtown Association can be very good too
Yes the DTA on Pine Street is a good option.
