Moms in Philadelphia, how much maternity leave do I get? I am remote but my firm is in bay area. They offer four week pre partum and ten weeks post partum
Hey guys, I had a question- My job location is Seattle and currently due to covid and work from home, I am in Texas. If my H1B FY22 gets picked up (currently on F1). Do I have to return back to Seattle or I can continue to work from Texas? Know there is 90 miles rule in place but not sure how stringent it is. Please can you let me know. THANKS!!
How does everyone who was laid off or pushed out for “performance” feel about the mid-year raises and work from home bonuses that the firms are paying out?
Can anyone recommend an ergonomic office chair for my WFH set up? Ideally something stylish but comfortable.
Have now worked entirely remote for over a year after having only worked in an office for a few months. It’s my normal and I’m far more productive and available from home than in an office. Anyone know of good companies or law firms that have embraced a permanent remote working model now?? If they’re remote but location dependent, I’m in the Chicago market.
Currently working with Wipro for 4.7 yrs L1.5 support analyst with exp on sap support, service now, remote desktop, looking for a switch any referal
I am a Senior Tax associate with many years of Corporate, Partnership & Individual tax experience at Grant Thornton. I am looking for an opportunity elsewhere with better pay and has the option to work from home most times. If anyone can guide me / refer me to a posting that would be helpful. Thank you @
I don’t belong in my job. I didn’t mind it when I joined in January and was interacting but as we’ve been work from home longer, the less motivation I have. I don’t enjoy the work but I’ve gotten unlucky with my teams too, and can’t remember the last time my manager praised me without a critique. Maybe I’m just bad at my job. At this point I just am doing the bare minimum to not get fired. What do I do? Should I look for a job that I actually would enjoy doing or stick it out?
Some days I love my job. Other days I want to quit and start my own business (work from home), but I have no talents or a big enough customer base to do that 🙃
Working in my office used to be my primary source of work outfit inspiration but since working remote staying aware of what styles are in is nearly impossible. I live in a smallish town, so going out doesn't help fill in that awareness gap. Are there any online communities or slack communities where people talk about and share style inspiration I can wear at work? I'm 28, work in tech, and my office is a start up, so attire is casual. I'd also be interested in brands people follow.
Do most people here get the opportunity to work from home when not traveling? I’m thinking about jumping but don’t want to lose this perk if it’s not common place.
I’m a pretty anxious person and I’ve realized that a remote work environment only makes me more so - not being able to read people’s tone well, email/ping responses being more delayed than they would be in a conversation, the awkwardness of virtual meetings, etc. I’m in therapy and will discuss this there but would love to hear some tips about how people manage work anxiety specifically in a remote consulting environment.
For anyone not allowed to WFH yet...
Bain fish, what’s the work from home policy? Do you have to live within a certain distance of your home office?
Prefacing this with the disclaimer that I only started several months ago so maybe I’m missing something Definitely was interested in the “consulting lifestyle” during recruiting but I think if I were given the choice I would do remote forever with a big reason being that I think I have more time for stuff I like. If I have downtime now I can ride my bike, go hit golf balls, cook, whatever which would not be options if I were traveling or even just working in an office. Thoughts?
shifted my schedule to where I crank things out during 4pm-4am. Am I the only one? During the day I’m in meetings back to back, pings almost every 20 minutes. I really love WFH, I’m never going to be able to do this 🤧😭😢
Hi ladies! Need some advice on what to do here: For context: I live in Texas and work from home. I put in a request with my apartment to fix the ongoing air issues in my master bedroom. The maintenance guy showed up without a mask. When I asked if he could please put on a mask, he left, returned and stated that they are still waiting on masks and isn’t sure of when they’ll be getting them. (Cont. in comments)

What’s the average salary of Senior Associate in highest band in Management consulting? In Finance effectiveness team
If I get a job offer and make a counter offer for a higher salary, is there any chance they would rescind the original offer? (asking for ~15% bump)
First year M&A associate. I never came into big law wanting /expecting to gun or make partner, and first year pretty much confirmed that. I'm more than happy to leave for in house in 4-6 years and live a much more chill life. Knowing this, what is the best way to max out the $'s? I'm thinking of considering auto-lateral at year 2/3 and again at 4/5 just for the signing bonus (I know things may change and maybe I wouldn't do it if I loved my firm or got an in house job), but is this viable?
I know I am weird, but I feel like being a Tax manager is becoming too comfortable for me...and it feels weird to be in a comfort zone. And now that we know our salary, I feel like I am just waiting to get promoted in a year or two. Am I just easily bored? Anyone feels this way?
People in tax: what can I expect for a salary as a first year senior? Any current seniors want to spill their salaries?

Any insight on getting MBA from mendoza as far as prospects for transitioning into a post-mba strategy consulting role? It’s ranked outside the top 15 but from research seems like it still sends plenty of grads to top consulting firms (not MBB)

Google recruiter’s make it a point to mention they are an asset to you and you can use them to prep for interviews. Does anyone know if actively using recruiters counts toward interview ratings?
Has there been in layoffs in Public sector? From what I can tell it has been all in commercial advisory...
Hi ladies, I need some advice on how to navigate/build a relationship with my fiance's family. Some of his siblings and family members are very standoffish and distant. For background, we are same race different culture. I'm very open and I've learned a lot from my fiance over the years. However, I believe his family still sees me as an outsider and they don't invite me to certain things. At times, it feels isolating and it makes me feel unwelcomed. They're also supposed to be in my wedding.
