I applied to a job thinking it was account management role for c3.AI. Turns out it is sales engineering role with zero delivery ownership. I continued through the process and got an offer that is 30% above my current base. I work tech consulting, mostly healthcare platform implementations. This role will be quite a shift from my current skills. I like the money, but not sure if the move is right. Any reasons other than compensation to consider or reject the offer?

Hi all, i m in deloitte now as M role with 31LPA Fixed joined on march 2021. I got another oppurtinity with 42Lpa fixed.

I got offer from multiple companies and finally decided to go with Microsoft. I signed and shared all the papers and my joining joining date is 16th Aug. This offer is comparatively lesser than all other offers, I still considered this one due to brand value. I have 10 YOE and working in Azure Data Engineering. Just got 56% increase in fixed pay whereas others are offering 100%. Even now Cognizant is willing to give more than 100%. Just wanted to hear from you guys on this.

I’ve spoken to people at all the MBBs and here’s some thoughts-
1) BCGers have been the friendliest and happiest personality wise
2) McKinsey folks have been helpful but to the point, objective
3) Bain folks have also been helpful but maybe a little bit in between 1) and 2)

I’m a 5th year. The unpredictability of this job (constantly canceling on your friends, unable to go to dinner with your partner without worrying about getting emails, etc) is making me rethink my priorities. How does big law keep the appropriate number of associates when so many 3-5 years leave? Do they just replenish with law students? Is there a large kid law to big law surge during those years?

How do you gracefully tell a partner that you don’t want to work on a client anymore? Partner doesn’t care for client either since the relationship is through a different practice group. There’s no one else to service the client. Client is very small.

How to deal with a client that requires something urgent to be done every single day? Just lateralled to a new firm and there’s a fire drill every day with this client and it’s exhausting and stressful.

What is a material billable hours difference from your peers at the same group? If I bill 150 less a year than another associate should I be worried?
