Honestly don't understand why people are so opposed to going into the office. Is this because you think spending 20-60 min commuting each way costs you billables? Personally I need separation between work and home. It helps my mental health but the anger I see in some posts about having to go to the office is strange to me.

Let's start an argument. Working 100% remote absolutely downgrades your interpersonal relationships with coworkers, execs, and clients while also keeping you within your own bubble of assigned areas and not allowing you to hear conversations about other areas to develop you further. We need to be back in the office 3-4 days a week for our own best interest. Yes we've proven we can do audits virtually, but our staff have suffered tremendously in their development these past 2 years.

My wife doesn't have a 401k from her employer. Do you recommend she open one up? She has some retirement benefit from the college where she teaches. Open a 401k or invest in ETFs on vanguard?
