Just spoke to someone who landed an interview at their dream company. They didn’t get it through applying. Here’s what they did instead: 1. They studied the job post. 2. They identified that the reason for the hire was to generate more company revenue. 3. They connected the company to a few potential customers by doing a quick looking through their network and messaging warm contacts. Unsurprised they got an interview out of it. Whats the best way you’ve seen someone land an interview?
Interested to hear how people learn project management. I have done PRINCE2 exam and read PMP materials, but I find these are too textbook theory based. Real life projects seem to be very different and a lot more complicated. I often do not know what needs to be done unless someone tells me. I believe you can learn these things on the job, but I am keen to expedite this with some books or courses. Are there any resources that are particularly helpful?
My H1B decision was under appeal after denial and was just overturned and approved. Unfortunately I was outside the country at the time and now require stamping to enter back however....
Recently found out that one of my co-workers makes more than me even though I’ve been with the company longer than he has. What is the best way for me to renegotiate my salary with my supervisors and manager?

My TFS just scheduled a meeting for TFS Checkpoint with me and my CC for Thursday. I've been on the bench for 12 business days now. Should I be worried?
Applying for a couple of things and randomly decided to google myself to see what recruiters might see. Had helped a friend out way way back with a school project and came across her blog post about it on her personal website in which she says the reason she asked me to help is because she trusted my opinion since I am a “harsh critic.” I think she meant keen critic or that this was supposed to be a positive but to me, this reads as an insult (continued in comments)
Imagine your firm region leader bowing out on you right during the middle of a huge client proposal that your team has been working on for months and then citing afterward there is “more to life than winning client work” and that it’s OK to sit out some of the biggest client proposals due to mental health…
Does someone know Average salary/increment for each position in consulting at IQVIA India?
Daycare moms that nurse, what is your at routine? I want to get up before baby gets up but boobs are super full so taking a shower means so much leaking (sorry TMI!). Also do you feed solids before you leave or just pack it for daycare to feed?
Just got an offer from Deloitte in their cloud practice. 40% increase in total comp. It’s at the same level however (consultant) Is the move worth it? Thoughts/experience on why I shouldn’t?
I’m a lead on a project and all the other leads got to travel to meet a client recently but I wasn’t invited. How do I not take that personally?
