For MBB consultants, how were your first two years out of UG in terms of building skill set? I know MBB on paper seems great but do you feel you learned significantly more than friends doing a strategy role at a fortune 50 company ?

Hey I trying to equate a principal role at Amazon to a big 4 consulting rank - levels doesn’t list Principal as a level to compare. Anyone got any insights they could share?
Very close to making principal with a top tier consulting firm (6-8 months). Have received a good offer from industry in their strategy team. It's definitely a bit of a step down in terms of where I am today and future revenues. I really liked the role and people though. I want a more balanced life (family, social, sports) and know enough that it's not possible in our profession. Is the exit worth it or I should just suck it up and make principal? Any personal experiences in such a situation

Thoughts on considering/accepting counteroffers from current firm that you are leaving? I feel as if I will always have a target on my back and a reactive versus proactive positioning from the current firm says a lot as I had been asking for a switch for a little while. Anyone accept or even just have thoughts on considering a counter (given it would be same salary and similar position to outside offer).

I just had an interview and really hope I get the position. But even if I do, I think they are gonna offer me 75K and I have 3 busy seasons under my belt. I feel like that is too low for me to leave..
Are there benefits to staying at a consulting firm for more than a year if the exit opportunities offer more? Analytics consultant here, looking to be earning about 90k next year. I think I could make 120k in industry, but I could probably exit closer to 160 in about 5 years. Am I foolish for thinking it’d be better to stay given the learning opportunities?
What are your best tips/what is your best advice for de-stressing/creating balance when you’re feeling overwhelmed at work and burning out? How much does industry experience matter at the associate level? Chatting with a recruiter this week and will likely be asked what city I am applying for. I have big 4 audit/TS experience focused on energy industry, but my dream is to move to NYC. Is this possible? Or should I just say Houston and try to get staffed on NYC projects in my downtime.

Is it ok to use the term “Chinese menu” on slides? As a Chinese American, I couldn’t care less and the term points to a very specific and clear type of product bundling. But under the current PC climate it seems prudent to take precautions.
