A nice pair of shoes is worth the investment. The key is in the soles of the shoes, because this is the part that wears out and need to be replaced. And to replace the soles, you need a shoe that has a Blake stitch or a Goodyear welt, with the Goodyear welt being the easiest for a cobbler to resole. A cheap shoe that has the sole cemented on is extremely difficult to resole and is often trashed when the soles wear out.

That’s why a pair of Allen Edmonds is worth the investment, because the leather is extremely high quality and their shoes are Goodyear welted. You can often find them at Nordstrom rack for around 250 bucks. Meermin also make great Goodyear welted shoes at around 200 bucks, though the quality is a step below Allen Edmonds. If you can’t afford it, there’s nothing wrong with buying something cheaper like Cole Haans. But if you can, and your dude gives them the proper care and maintenance, a pair of Allen Edmonds can be continuously resoled and will last him decades.

Meermin or rider boot company. If you're in NYC, meermin's only USA based showroom is in Soho.

If you've got the budget room, Carmina is beautiful - also has a NYC showroom for fittings.

MYTH: Unions protect the lazy and incompetent.

FACT: No union contract will shield workers from fair and logical consequences. You're just as likely to have a "deadweight" coworker in a nonunion job.

I just decided I'm gonna go natural after being relaxed for 15 years. I really don't want to big chop and am ok with transitioning slowly. I'm not very comfortable with short hair. Nothing is wrong with my hair now, its pretty healthy for relaxed hair. I just want a change. I would like some tips on anyone who has done it this way. Anyone who may be 4A or 4B. For the most part, I remember what my natural hair looks like, and I'm thinking I will fall in one of those categories.

On a Swiggy food order of Rs. 500, I can either:

- Pay Rs. 500 directly via my credit card, or
- Choose CRED Pay, pay Rs. 450 via the same credit card, and CRED pays Rs. 50 on my behalf.

The funny part is that neither Swiggy nor CRED is profitable. I feel like I’m the one burning VC money here.
