When searching for a job, do I take into account my internship period? 1y in total. E.g. The company requires 2 years of experience, but I have 1 year + 1 year of internship. Does that count?

I am trying to decide between 2 offers, BDO vs. KPMG. KPMG is offering about $4k more on base, the extra $1,200 in reimbursable items, and pension but Big 4 brings WLB fears while I love the time I've spent at BDO, everyone is great and I can't recommend it enough.

The big selling point KPMG is pitching me on is the MADA program. I really want to get my Master's and BDO doesnt have a set vehicle for that. Has anyone gone through MADA?

It has been very frustrating. I spend hours everyday guiding them and always try to answer their questions. but after almost a month, this one intern is just really bad at understanding things… it’s affecting my time. I can’t work on everything with you…

it doesn’t help that the other intern grasps things way faster

NYC Freelancers! My Medicaid is ending soon and I need to start making health insurance decisions (lame). My current agency is offering me FT and I’m pretty terrified as I feel like I’m going to sell away my freedom. Their health insurance is pretty good and allows me to put my partner on it. I’m trying to also rationalize paying for my own in NYC but it’s so expensive ($500+/mo). I go to the doctor fairly often. Single NYC freelancers (no kids), what do you pay monthly or yearly? Worth it?

Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to negotiate a higher salary when getting promoted internally? Currently been at the company for about a year, and getting promoted. I’m aware what someone is making at the level I’m getting promoted to, and they were also internally promoted a few months ago.
