Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously. How do you go about not underselling yourself on a resume/interview while also not exaggerating your accomplishments? I have a lot of team/group experience but I think it would be an exaggeration to just say for example “formulated Omni-channel marketing plan targeting gen x consumer in consideration of a buy now pay later plan”. I had a role on a team and contributed, but I have heard recruiters are off put by stating you were part of a team effort since they don’t know your contribution to it.

I’m trying to get a good idea on whether or not to leave my current firm. I have 10 YOE in the military (similar field) and departed active duty last year. I was offered 95k to start where I’ve been for the past year, but have already been offered much more for an industry position. I’ve done the PMP and CSM thing, am getting my TS/SCI now, and am about halfway through my MPA. Is it fair to tell my company I would only stay for at least $127k? Or am I just a complete noob? Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox. I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Anyone else hate the term “ideate/ideation” and how it crept into the vernacular? Or is it just me?

I work at a small shop, and my salary was cut 20% bc.. 2020. The shop has sustained, but not making as much as projected. I love my job and the people, I’m closely connected to leadership and know they genuinely would love to bring my salary back, and more if they were in a financial spot to do so.

I don’t want to leave, so considering what my options to make it work. Maybe asking for an extra day off so I can freelance, other ideas? Advice on how to approach the conversation?
