I finally broke down and went back on HRT last week. I have been taking gabapentin for a nerve injury which I’ve learned helps hot flashes. I can’t tell a significant difference yet aside from maybe getting a little better sleep. I saw a new doctor (male) to get my prescription refilled and he seems to have a different philosophy than my last doctor (female). He wants me to be on HRT until 51, but after that he doesn’t recommend it. I hope by that age I’ll be off the gabapentin…

Client was 30 min late to our call, asked I join "now", 5 minutes into the call, his phone rings and he says wait a second until I'm done. It's been 15 minutes now. What a fucking waste....

Accenture has been laying off folks (high chargeability high performance, low chargeability low peformance, etc). There has been no official announcement and they are calling it performance layoffs when they are COVID layoffs.

They practically asked folks to take Memorial Day week off to ‘adjust the books’ just to lay off the same folks who could of used those extra days.

Thankful for my job (for now) but ashamed of this firm. More layoffs this week. This is not okay.

If you were to do it all over, what is the most efficient way to become a “master” at case interviewing? Read each MBA program’s consulting club’s case books? Then practice? If yes, is there any specific order/sequence of case types to prepare for?

Under what conditions could we as consultants write off a home office? Is it justifiable? Would it pass an audit?

Should I be concerned for my career with lack of billable projects? Background: Analyst hired out of undergrad in July 2020. I have worked on 3 proposals in the last 2 weeks, and 5 in the last 2 months. In the past year since I was hired, I have 8 months of billable work which is actually slightly higher than the other Analysts I joined with. Should I keep collecting paychecks and hoping for projects, or is this a serious issue that should prompt an exit strategy?
