“Tone policing is defined as "a conversational tactic that dismisses the ideas being communicated when they are perceived to be delivered in an angry, frustrated, sad, fearful, or otherwise emotionally charged manner." Managers striving to create a workplace based on equity and inclusion must understand how tone policing silences members of marginalized groups and allows discrimination to persist.” https://www-businessinsider-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.businessinsider.com/how-to-identify-and-help-stop-tone-policing-in-workplace-2020-8?amp

Depends a lot on how much work experience you have. I got into 3 M7s with relatively low GMATs (sub-700) because I was 8 years out and had a good story. The longer you’re out, the less weight the GMATs have versus work experience.
If you’re out a short amount of time, UG grades are critical and might offset GMAT softness, though that softness will be harder to explain.
How long have you been out?

I identified 3 bae schools, 2 hail Mary's and 4 safety nets/back ups
I took the gmat twice so my schedule was probably like this
gmat prep and testing: april - September (took gmat June and september)
school research / mba student coffee chats: June - November
essay outlining: August - October
essay writing: October - December
recommendation letter request: november to december
application: december

I didn’t do mlt in college and regret it. So looking forward to the MBA program when I’m ready
64% don’t go to M7. Ask yourself how to make it to the top 10%, not stay out the bottom 60.

Do this
710, which was still lower than my M7 school's average for my year 😩
700 but back then at least I was thinking the percentile matters more than the score.
If you want the mba, go all in on the gmat and let the process play out.
I’m not even sure when some are bringing the gmat back. I know Kellogg waived it because of covid.
740 Got into HBS,GSB,Sloan
