Was baited to a larger tech consulting company with a Director-level role. After a couple interviews was extended an offer for a lateral move (architect) with 190k base and 20k annual bonus paid quarterly. Current comp is 160k plus a 10-30% annual bonus based on company performance. I countered with 250k TC and a Director title (actual role is fine either way). Thoughts?

Went in for a position at a top medical device company. During the interview my male interviewer asked if my “directness” comes off to strong to the doctors? He then asked the same question twice in two different ways. I asked if he meant “can I dim my light”. He said ya. I just said I know how to be strategic when it comes to my deliverance with whom I’m speaking to. I felt his question was misogynistic and quite condescending truly. I’m a woman in outside sales with a type A personality.

How big of an advantage is it to have big 4 FDD on your resume instead of a smaller firm i.e. BDO, RSM etc.?

I might be accepting a role that brings me to $165/170k base and $200/$205k TC with 5 YOE. Current base comp is $135k and TC $145k. I have a couple of questions with this move. This would be my 4th firm in 5 years. I don’t know if this matters, I’ve been jumping and interviewing around and no firm has batted an eye or cared. But unsure if this actually matters in the long run? I’d love to stay in the same place but the salary increases I’m getting with no MBA are lucrative.

How easy (or difficult) is it to transition to in house with just 1.5-2 years experience of employment law? For reference, I'm a third year attorney with experience in other litigation areas and am just a few months into employment law. How safe is it to share ALL our documents, including the addresses, contact details, marksheets with school/ college details, employment details, etc - basically all our life history with the recruiters? I mean are there any laws preventing them from misusing all that info? That’s a LOT of sensitive personal information which we share with potential employers even before receiving the offer letter.
