I think it’s an interesting scenario you pose. I think it depends where you are located, the demographics of your clients, and how strong your relationships are. This business is a lot about your perceived image but, I do think that times are changing. If you’ve shown value to your clients, who cares? If they like you and trust you, I think you’ll be ok.
You do you man. If you lose clients over it so be it…those people would eventually leave you anyway.
I know it's not the same, but in our office during the summer we have a really relaxed dress code, sometimes evening meeting clients in the office while in shorts. I think it really depends on the expectation you have and who you work with, we work with a lot of younger folks who don't care for suits and ties. I think depending on the sleeve is also part of it, is it vulgar anyway? If not I don't see why it might be an issue.

No it is not vulgar. I might start trying a more laid back approach some Fridays and just see how it goes. Thanks for the insight
Hmmm just be careful with certain clients or newer relationships. People are stupid and will judge based on appearance
Most of my clients are non-US. Some cultures have varying views on tattoos. I’m all for them and wouldn’t have any issue. I would just be cognizant of cultural aversions, client-dependent.
We have a “no visible” policy in our office. I think it depends on where you are (urban vs more rural) and your client age.
Keep it under raps. I also have and I am a 1mm producer and I will not make them visible.
11 years in and I’ve never had issues.
