In the process. Across country. Super stressful. But it's a promotion and closer to our families so I have to constantly remind myself it's worth it.

I’m in talks for something. Definitely a better gig and closer to my family but much further from my wife’s.

Yes. We moved from Sausalito CA to Irvine CA about 3 years ago.

Moved to NY with my wife and 6 year old son from The Netherlands. Had a couple of months to prepare which helped enormously. The first 6-9 months were tough (was close to a burnout) but it’s all good now (15 months in). Happy we pursued the opportunity!

Word. It's all about weighing pros and cons. And knowing the actual move may suck but SHOULD be worth it in the end.

NY to Chicago. Thank god we did it.

Came close then didn’t. Regretted it ever since.

Flying in to our new city today to try and lock down a house. Ready or not...

Didn't get it. And can't afford any more house hunting trips so now we need to find a short term rental. Ugh.

Happy Sunday ladies! I am on the journey to treating my severe depression and interested in others’ experience. I have been in therapy. I think that ultimately I need to be medicated to function without suffering as much as I do. I also feel though that part of it is just being unfulfilled on a spiritual level (purpose, potential, personal relationships and interests) which I also continually explore. Struggling in traditional cultural environment.

For this of you who recently transitioned from a firm to in-house, how/where did you find your in-house position? Recruiters? Clients? Indeed/LinkedIn? Word of mouth?

I’m a mid-level employment associate and starting to explore going in-house, but not sure where or how to begin the search. Thanks in advance for any tips and advice!
