Any one had a positive experience with noom? Lately work has really been stressing me out and Iv been stress eating. I want to curb that and I hear noom is based on behavior change and mental wellness

I lost a significant amount of weight with it. The key is that its temporary and you need an end point and that religiously food logging will develop into an eating disorder.

Noom provides basic nutritional information, like is it better to eat a bowl of air popped popcorn or a bowl of potato chips. Is it better to eat an apple or apple flavored candy, etc. You are much better off educating yourself on nutrition and understanding what foods will keep you full and what foods will make you hungrier.
Also stop snacking at night. I used to be a huge snacker and now once I eat dinner I’m done for the night. I’ve lost significant weight.

Its a good on ramp to understanding nutrition though. I visited a nutritionist before noom and I was just given xeroxed handouts that weren't entirely helpful.

I didn’t have a positive experience with it but didn’t have a negative experience either. It was just so time consuming for me to use and I don’t think it provided the support I needed. I have more success working with a personal 1 on 1 health coach.

I have a manager that does not seem to understand mental illnesses, disorders, etc. He thinks I am making excuses rather than trying to explain things (I have diagnosed ADHD, anxiety, and depression) and I’m trying to take ownership for issues but also help him understand what I am describing better as well. We are sitting down for a conversation later this week. Any advice on how to gently educate or help with his understanding of neurodivergence and other mental health considerations?

Any tips for staying injury free in middle age? My body seems to be falling apart. Before Covid, I injured my shoulder in a bad fall while skiing that would have kept me off the slopes for a year if the pandemic hadn’t. Last week, I pulled my lower back, also skiing. This is all after a 6 month recovery from Achilles tendinitis that the PT said was a result of running and hiking. I’m pretty active and in decent shape, but clearly I’m doing something very wrong.

I changed the battery and it helped, but didn’t entirely fix the issue. Now at ~3 yrs, the connection goes frequently and renders it unusable. Any idea what the issue is? How did you resolve it? It worked great for a long time, so I hate to replace it entirely if there is fix.
