Hi everyone. A friend knows that I do Staffing recruiting and this agency is in charge of providing medical benefits, PTO, and Holiday pay. I run the branch, I'm responsible for coaching, maintaining attendance, and dealing with verbal and written warnings, and termination. We use TempWorks to track everything from interviews, onboarding, E-Verify, background and drug screening, and payroll as well. I document everything. Ok, so my question is do I need any HR specific certifications?

What sort of questions are asked in an interview for Senior Analyst(Data science role) I have an econ background. And experience in analytics not in data science.

Currently a senior with 2.5 YOE(not including 7 months of internships). I want to apply to Pwc Senior Cyber Risk position, but the minimum YOE is 3. Is it worth my time applying for the role? Will I get eliminated off the bat due to YOE?

Curious what has worked best for others. If you talk numbers in the first call with recruiter/HR, realize there’s much more money on the table, interviews go well and expect an offer, when is the best time to bring up the new number? Before they draw up offer? Or during negotiating initial offer?

Got short video interview, then a job offer @ low end my req. range. Experience: it’s normal to travel for a 2nd interview in person. Result: I see quitting to do this as risky. I asked for more $ than my prior range & explained I prefer we meet in person to see if it’s a fit 1st. Hiring manager wants me and may push for the $ but not the in person meet. Wonder if it could cause me to start there with less trust if they think I abused my position for more $.

Company site needs a full refresh. It’s WordPress.
Developer can’t do what I want for the budget I’ve been so generously allocated. I know nothing of quality will come from it anyway.

I don’t want to spend my time in Wordpress and having to update plugins etc.

It’s 10% lower than current TC… is there usually wiggle room here?

So, do i get any relocation allowance for that. In my offer letter it was mentioned relocation allowance will be as per policies of the Company existing at that time. What would you say to an agency, if they told you the job was yours if you got within budget, that it wasn’t a competitive bid scenario, then worked with you for two weeks and several meetings, to firm up a detailed proposal, assuming an award and sow and kick off... only to reveal there was a lower bidder. At the very least, it means I’ll never work with them. But I’m not sure what to say, really. It’s like they managed to find something worse than ghosting. They lied and took us for a ride.

Weird Q: should the expected Supreme Court decision on race-based admissions next year impact whether I apply to bschool this year vs next if I’m URM? I know it’s weird to think about, but could be significant. I don’t feel quite ready to apply yet but know I have to make a decision soon.
