NY, NJ, and CT are all requiring travelers from certain states with high coronavirus rates to quarantine for 14 days. How is this enforced? Or is it not?
I’ve seen a few posts about long waits but does anyone know the typical time it takes to receive an offer or rejection after lateral callbacks? Or, if we could start a list of recent experiences with offer timing that would give me an idea. I feel like covid has made everything wonky. Pref big law corporate positions
Can I pressure my agency into a salary raise without feeling like an ass?
My Agency laid off quite a few people due to covid and recent client losses, is financially still stable though. I wasn’t happy with my last raise and now got another agency’s job offer that would pay me more. I don’t really want to leave my current agency but am thinking of bringing up this other offer to ‘force’ a salary raise. I’m not sure if this is tasteless given the current climate?
Work for a boutique firm, we took a 25% pay cut and lost bonuses this year due to COVID. The company has aggressively hired in the last month with no conversation about paying back bonuses or the pay cut, curious what other firms have done in this situation. Has anyone experience anything similar? Thanks in advance!
Help! Flying to Frankfurt with connection in Amsterdam next week. Covid testing rules are not clear when checking the airline website - does anyone know what tests we need to take to entry? Do we need to clear both Netherlands (Schengen entry) and Germany (final destination) requirements or just the final destination ones? We are vaccinated.
What is Accenture Strategy? (In context to India)
What are the typical types of projects? Duration of projects? On-site opportunities in pre and post Covid scenarios?
Do they actually do 'Strategy Consulting' work or is it just 'in the name'?
Is it normal that my husband thinks it’s ok to come home to sleep at night while im the hospital giving birth to our first child? He would obviously stay for the birth, but thinks it’s ok to come home and sleep that night and come back the next day. I think that’s insane, but curious if I’m overreacting
Does anyone but me feel like going back to school just won’t work with cases of Covid 19 rising again. Kids leave used Kleenex everywhere and they will mot use their masks properly, if they bring them at all. I’d like to be more positive, but I just don’t see it.
I’m supposed to go to NY this Friday. I took a covid test 5 days ago, but the travel restrictions say I have to have taken one 72 hours within entering the state. Does that mean I have to take a new test? How do they know if I’ve even taken one at all or not?
My family and I got covid positive this morning, for leaves do USI have additional leaves if one is covid positive or we need to use normal PTOs only.
Thank you so much in advance!!
Lot of negatives from Covid. Am curious to poll this crowd on what we think the long term positives will be, both for consultants and society at large. Let’s generate some positive vibes.
Would you voluntarily contract the coronavirus if you were instantly promoted to Partner (PPMD) upon surviving?
The $600 unemployment benefits are ending within the next two weeks in the US. Congress still far apart on a new fiscal deal with the extension for these benefits hotly debated. Check in on your friends and family that might be utilizing this and other coronavirus stimulus as this will be an anxious and uncertain time.
25 M California. Moved to the States in 2017. I can't get rejected by women in person anymore (covid19) so I figured I would post here instead🙃

The baby in our nanny share had a cold and tasted negative for Covid. Now my baby has mild cold symptoms. Would you Covid test?
Major burnout. I don’t want to do tax anymore or PA. I’ve been working nonstop only break I had was when I was down with Covid twice. I dread waking up in the mornings for work. I have 120 tax returns to prep before 10/15. And there is more to this list because they keep retaining new clients. This is my 6th busy season. I feel so empty and depressed. Unfulfilled like I’m wasting my life and career. To think I’m going to work in tax for the rest of my life makes me feel hopeless.
Given how well the stock market did, despite covid.. does it make sense to use margin that the brokerage lends to you? Why/why not?
Plane did a go around due to traffic on the ground a few weeks ago. Landing gear stuck down this morning. 7 lives left!

Does your ad agency support your Art career?
Gotta love when the client fires the agency but then runs their campaign with new new agency.
GRE or GMAT? I didn’t take many quant classes (Econ major: econometrics, math classes and stats - 3/4 I got Bs in). Took the GMAT once and scored a 670 and just struggle at cracking the test, and have been thinking of switching to the GRE because it’s easier, but I’m worried my lackluster quant background isn’t a good look.
Other stats: 3.6 from T20 State School (UCLA/Michigan/UVA), consultant, then chief of staff role at mid-size tech company, and now in strategy at brand name startup
What Questions should I be asking if I’m small firm (2 atty) and my boss has told me that he’s happy with our current pace but if we expand, it’ll be with me as partner. I’m a first generation college student & the only lawyer in the family. So other than if it’s equity vs non equity and what it might cost to buy in, I have no idea.
I hope one day we will be able to have empathy, understanding, and willingness to hear out people with different experiences than us.
We are renting out a place that requires minor paint touch up on gray paint. The new tenant wants to paint it all white and said don’t worry about touching up before we move in. She suggested we pay for the paint and they pay for labor. Is that fair? Or should they pay for paint too since we originally didn’t need more than a small can of gray for touch up?
Guitar lessons in NoVa/DC, where are they?
I'm the type of guy who hires a bodybuilding coach because he wants to get in shape, I don't screw around. I want a guitar coach/teacher but at least when I was looking a couple of months ago I couldn't find one with trusted reviews on places like Craiglist or simple Google searches. Recommendations? Places to look? Is the supply just rock bottom due to COVID?
I'm a $2M-illionaire as of today! Thanks to BTC, ETH, and other crypto projects. What do I do now? Market wise everything is so priced given low rates.
