How have you told your reports to take care of themselves? I have one telling me about busy weeks where they skip meals, working out, and cut sleeping short.
They agreed to start giving me a heads up when they work OT, which will help me better balance their workload. At what point can I say, “Choosing to care for yourself is a personal responsibility?” We’ve had a handful of discussions about setting boundaries and speaking up about unrealistic timelines, but the message isn’t sticking.

Have you ever been misdiagnosed by your doctor? I went to my primary doctor for pelvic pain and inflammation after sex. She swore I had an STI after a pelvic exam and she did a cervical swab to test. She treated me the same appointment before the test results came back. I got a shot 500 mg of ceftriaxone. And also some type of antibiotic pills. The tests came back negative. I never had an STI. I am a 17 year seasoned outpatient PT in Tampa FL who is the current head PT for my clinic. I do marketing, admin duties as well as staffing. I haven’t gotten a base hourly salary raise in 8 years! (I do get a percentage of profits but due to Covid, haven’t gotten one in 2 yrs). I do not get 401k, con Ed or health insurance benefits.
Current salary is $85K. I am getting very frustrated that this has not increased even after asking. Thoughts? What to do? What do other seasoned FL PTs make?

Good people. Treat their employees well. Growing company and plenty of opportunity for growth within.
Yes they are excellent. Many employees will tell you they honestly feel valued and cared about by the company. I know more than a handful of employees who have gone from CNA to nurses to becoming unit managers and directors within.
That is great news to hear thank you.
