What would you like to know? They’re fairly to very highly rated across the board on Vault’s annual surveys
Just anyone’s personal experience working with them or working there
I have a friend that works there in one of their tax practices. She has been with them about 7 years and loves it. Not sure what kind of insight you are looking for .
Friedman is great when it comes to culture. I have a close colleague that works there and they are working closer to 50-60 hours vs. 80-110. Also people eat lunch together instead of at their computer and they have every Friday off in the summer.
If you want to stay in public and not specialize in 1 area to go private, I’d say give them a shot!
Sorry AS1- I just saw this. The largest perk is definitely the culture. It’s like a large family. I haven’t seen anything like it before. I equate the whole firm to working with the best and nicest engagements at Big 4.
Summer Fridays are excellent. We get a lot of vacation days. Pay is really good too.
Also, can confirm. Hours aren’t bad at all. I may have hit 70 hrs a week once or twice, but have never had to work a Sunday. Saturday’s are only 4 or 5 hours during busy season.
Do they offer fwa? What are their maternity benefits? Any opinion on nj vs new york office, and what software do they use for audit? Looks like they're actively recruiting 😊
We are. Firm is still growing leaps and bounds. We use CCH (a Thinpson Reuters product).
Most of us are working from home at the moments (esp. NY/NNJ), but some of us have returned. The firm has done an excellent job of implementing safe procedures at the office. At this point, the firms stance is to do what works for you (the employees).
The N.Y. Office is brand new. I’m not sure about maternity benefits (I’m a dad). Send me a PM if you have any specifics. I’m happy to look into if, and possibly refer, if you’d like.
