Any opinions on structuring your LinkedIn? Does it ‘look better’ to show individual contract stints or do a big catch all of places you’ve freelanced? FWIW my path has been a mix of multi-month contracts and full time roles, mostly full time.

I lump all my freelance together, by agency and client. For the staff spots, I put down what I helped accomplish — increased ROI by xx%, increased cuz, etc. I never understood people who just put down the accounts. It doesn’t set you apart. Give them a reason to hire you.

For freelance, I just put account and agency. That’s usually enough for people to find you through a search. Good luck!

I lump all the freelance gigs under “freelance” instead of listing them individually as different jobs. I think the latter is better for SEO but I don’t like places to see when I’ve doubled or tripled or as another person said tip my hand when I’m considering new contracts while already engaged.

If it’s a good gig that lasted something like six months I’ll put it in and only after it’s over. otherwise just a long list under a freelance job of all the agencies I’ve worked.

Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. The partner and I have kept in touch since I joined my new firm and I feel like his invitation is a great networking opportunity since the client (who I have worked with before) is on a number of boards. Torn as how to request off as an S3. Could materialize to nothing but could be good for reconnecting.

Been 3 months since I joined Luxoft and I am assigned to a backward DXC project. The lead is oppressive and bossy. There is no work-life balance and 9:30 hours of work is not enough for them. My probation period is going to end soon. Should I inform my Luxoft manager and tell him to change my project right now ? Or shall I wait for him to end my probation period ?

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?
