I have 10 years experience in medical and 6 years experience as a pre certification specialist in Urology and UroGYN. My current hourly rate for my years of experience and time with the company is just abysmal. I’m looking for a place I can grow my skills and my knowledge while being fairly compensated. If there are any opportunities, please reach out.
There have been signs my company is preparing for a sell-out... should I try to find another job now or wait it out?
I found my Accenture exit interview song by lizzo. I wonder if i can play this ? Lol I do my hair toss
Check my nails
Baby how you feelin'?
Feeling good as hell
Check my nails
Baby how you feelin'?
Feeling good as hell You know you a star, you can touch the sky
I know that it's hard but you have to try
If you need advice, let me simplify
If he don't love you anymore
Just walk your fine ass out the door
I already have a AWS cloud practitioner cert and an Azure foundation cert. Whenever I interview for cloud positions, there seems to be an interest in GCP.
As a firm, I like Google & their moonshot ideas. I dream of one day joining the elite team. Is the firm really worth the hype? @AWS
Hi my wife is looking to start her career after giving her CA final II group this month which she feels very positively will get cleared. She had an exemption and therefore need to clear only 3 subjects. I was hoping if someone would be able to refer her for international taxation roles. Any leads are appreciated.
Being offered lower title and lower salary than what I’m making...what are the chances I could negotiate to the original title I interviewed for?
What does it mean if you get feedback such as “know the room better?” I came across a team email that was addressed to my account team, and I approached my boss about my response to it. Then he gave me this feedback and told me not to engage in the conversation. Funny thing is a strategy lead just responded back to the team with the exact response I came up with, and my boss agreed with her...
Do you think diversity training actually works? I can't tell if it's just a way to tick a liability box or if it's actually effective.
When you don’t care about the rules and/or are too lazy to go to the store for more beef and hot dog buns, have a hamburdog!
Ive gained so much weight since quarantine started and feeling a bit hopeless. I’ve battled my weight for as long as I can remember but this is the most unhealthy I’ve ever felt. I also started noticing my neck change color (getting darker toward the bottom) and was reading up on google and now I think I have diabetes 😔. Hoping that’s not the case but curious has anyone experience the neck thing? Scheduling a doctor visit too.
Hello, due to covid I moved in with my parents and was able to save some money to buy a house. My parents basement and garage were already full of my brother’s items ( Navy Guy) so I put my items in a storage unit. I am looking for a moving company that can get my items from the storage to new house. Any suggestions of good and reliable movers? I need the movers to load, unload and set up some furnitures. I live in Atlanta GA now if that helps.
Hi, Got an offer from JPMC Mumbai Branch. Most probably will have virtual joining. However, when they would start calling, is it possible to actually switch my joining location to Bangalore in place of Mumbai ? Do they agree?
I have a second round interview with a low code company for an SE role and to be honest, I have no deep technical expertise (only coding I’ve ever done is SQL). What can I do to prepare?
Love that I can actually call out sick from work now that I’m in house (vs before in big law)!

Looking to lateral into a fully remote ECVC role to have more flexibility to move closer to family and to hopefully have a better work life balance. However, I was told by my recruiter that Cooley, Gunderson, and Goodwin said they’re not offering remote roles in ECVC at this time. For some context, I’m class of 2019 coming from a V10 with M&A and CapM experience. Anyone hearing or seeing similar things? Curious if fully remote is no longer offered as much or if the ECVC market has slowed.
Is there any reason why you have to check your emails at soon as Shabbat ends? I am literally starting my weekend at 6 pm on Saturday and I get a work email asking for a task to be done. 🙄

What questions should senior associates be asking to get a better assessment of partnership prospects? For context, I’m eligible this year as an 8th year, but it’s more common to make it around years 10-11 at my firm (only equity partners), and I’m trying to determine whether to stick around or lateral before I’m too senior. I’m in a smaller group that historically promotes only one new partner every few years, and there are several others also eligible. Any questions I should avoid asking?
Anyone in international arbitration? Just started a year ago and wondering why so many people want to enter the field. WLB and toxicity seem worse than everywhere else
How to handle a midlevel/senior that calls for every little thing? I understand the need to call during and leading up to closing to make sure things progress and are clear, but it's annoying to be busy working on something and have to make this person's deal/questions front of mind. It's toxic.
Could someone explain the difference between a firm policy that sets a specific amount of paid vacation time for associates versus a firm policy that has unlimited vacation time? Specifically with respect to how this impacts billable requirements. Thank you!
I am interested in lateraling from a V5 to a V50 (M/A associate). Would love to hear people’s insight.
- V5 has the better reputation on a national level and local level
- V5 has a stronger corporate group
- V50 has higher compensation due to signing bonus
- V50 has better hour expectations
Mid level corporate associate. Wife just accepted a job in Atlanta and I’m looking to lateral to a firm with a strong Atlanta presence. Any suggestions? Which firms have matched / plan to match DPW / Cravath?
I’ve increasingly been using retail therapy and have forayed into expensive luxury items such as designer sunglasses (LV) and coats (Burberry) — can anyone whose further down this road tell me what the natural progression of this is and whether I should stop now or carry on?
Any Canadians out there working in the U.S.? Any of you have a good accountant in the U.S. that can handle the cross border stuff with your Canadian accountant? Got reamed last year (3k+ bill) for a relatively simple income structure. In Texas for reference.
