Not as sick as the strategists are that they aren’t creatives.

I enjoy being a strategist while concepting. I just wish a “strategist” hadn’t sat on the brief for 3 weeks so I have to do it all in 2 days

Alright everyone saying “embrace it,” can I embrace their paycheck too? In all sincerity, I really enjoy cracking a good insight and coming up with a good strategic angle, but I don’t love seeing people get paid tons of money when I turn around and do their jobs, and I also don’t love having to do said job when it takes away from hours I could be crafting my scripts/ideas/etc. As for it being new, what’s your point? Newness doesn’t render it pointless, and that’s still a salary getting paid to do a specific job.

I love being strategic. Helps you sell your work. 👍

No. Coming up with a solid insight is the a-ha moment that got me into advertising

it used to be a creative’s job, anyway. strategists in advertising are relatively new.

ACD 2, not so mad, just really taken aback at defending someone not doing their job. Just surprising I guess.

The best briefs I’ve ever worked on have been developed in collaboration with my creative team. Don’t push for a hard line between the two, you’ll have better briefs and your ideas will be amplified. Any creative team worth their salt should, rightly, have a hand in brief development. The reason why many of us are surprised by your reaction is that it’s frankly part of your job to make sure the brief gives you what you need, before you get to this point. Highlight this as a learning, push to be involved sooner and remember that we only succeed when we view the work as team effort, not pass the parcel

helpful

Hahahahahaha

Actually one more thought on the newness thing, because I’m dumbfounded by that response. Women in my position are also relatively new. Women in your position are also relatively new. I don’t give a fuck about what was, I’m here for today and what is.

🧂

I legit don't get why you're getting so mad OP.

Could someone explain under what instances you may get a Medical RFE when filing your I-485? I’ve seen some people advicing to wait on doing the medical until you get an RFE notice from USCIS, but EY is filing both my I-140 and I-485 together and has requested the medical before filing both forms. I am a bit confused…

Applying for M7 next year. Stats on general are slightly above average, however EC is lacking. My mum had an accident and since I'm 19 I'm her (only) government appointed caretaker (includes finances, legal stuff, medical decisions, bills and other paperwork...). So every minute, that I'm not working, doing further training, or seeing friends I'm helping my mum. Is this something that can be taken into account for EC? Should I (still) improve my EC during the next 12 months?

Has anyone given any thought to the possibility of keeping quarantined staff and students at school in a separate area and allow instruction to be monitored by said staff? Bought a 4Runner 5 years ago for 30k and planned on driving it for the rest of my life. I have an offer for a private sale for 28k, which is incredible in my eyes. 5 years and 80k miles later only losing 2k in depreciation? But then I would have to buy another 4Runner, and this time a TRD pro, but those are running on 20k over MSRP. Used isn’t any better.

Ladies, you give good advice so need help explaining this to my husband so it doesn’t cause a big argument. I got a promo last week, and husband didn’t want to go out to celebrate because we’ve been budgeting, and I said okay fine. His close friend just got a new job this week (I’m out of town visiting family) and they went out partying on Friday to celebrate the new job. I’m not mad he went out, I’m just upset that when something big happened to me, he didn’t do anything. Any advice?

Not sure if I can apply elsewhere w/ a little less than 1 yr under my belt, and I don’t have many connections in my area. Right now, I play a BSA role on my team, and I’m hoping to pursue product/UX design. I’m also doing a UX bootcamp in the spring & working on a udemy course outside of work for UX/UI.
