I pumped for both my boys. Spent a lot of time in the gym teachers bathroom because it was the only door I could lock. It takes a lot of time but you can do it :)

Hi ladies. I’m an elementary music teacher and just had my first baby August 23rd! ❤️ I won’t return to work until December or January, but I’m wondering about transitioning to pumping at work already. Did you all find it difficult to squeeze in time to pump during your teaching schedule? Did you pump only once during the school day or more often? Thanks for any advice or info!

I pumped at work!! Made a make shift shade out of dark paper with a message on the outside to please not enter & locked the door. It was on the door with duct tape and clips to hold it in place when not in use.

I pumped at work 2x a day. I used a room in the nurse's office. I had a hard time at first with the noise outside the room, but soon got used to it so milk flowed freely! I would hope your school and other faculty would always support nursing mothers. Best wishes!

Women who have had kids while working - what was the situation when you were breast feeding? My office uses a supply closet as the “lactation room” and sometimes women would use an empty office at the end of the hall...feels a little cruel to me but maybe that’s how it is everywhere? FYI I don’t have kids yet but thinking about it and the lactation room situation just bothers me for some reason...

My previous landlord is requiring me to get a form notarized stating I no longer live in my previous unit and that I have moved out. They won’t give me my security deposit unless it’s notarized despite me being moved out of the unit completely, and my keys have already been surrendered. The lease doesn’t state this form is required. Anyone else experience this before?

Hey awesome mamas! What are your plans for when you have to go back to work but your kids are staying home either doing distance-learning or the hybrid model? My three are all in middle school and high school doing the hybrid and are home by themselves Monday -Wednesday. Even though they’re old enough to be home by themselves I still don’t quite trust that they’re on task- especially my 6th grader. Also worried about having to help them with a lot of homework after I get home from work. Ideas?
