Any other staff feel like they spend so much time formatting PBC spreadsheets and listings to fit into your workpapers? I feel like I’m so slow with excel.

Our job is documentation. Documentation should be straight forward and pleasing to the eyes

If you're spending a lot of time on formatting, you're doing it wrong. Reach out to your senior to see where you should be focusing your efforts. I wasted a lot of time doing that as a staff before I realized that the testing is the most important part, not making it look like last year.

It’s not so much formatting in the sense of colors, font, etc. It’s more so formatting the data to be useful. For example, I had a disbursement listing in excel where the amounts and invoice numbers were not aligned. But yeah that makes sense.

So, this is a little awkward, but I recently moved to SD for a fresh start, and honestly, I love this city. My problem is I have been more of a homebody since I moved here and I'm a little intimidated to go out and meet people because I don't feel like I fit in here. I am overweight and this city is full of active, and attractive people. I guess I am wondering what my experience would be if I got out more? I feel like people look at me when I'm in public because I stand out due to my size.

Has anyone here left a job just to free up the time to search for openings elsewhere? My current firm is drowning me in garbage work that feels like a massive waste of my time, and I barely have time to breathe. I’m also trying to change practice areas so recruiters haven’t been a huge help since they seem focused mostly on openings in the same practice area I’m with now. I’m beyond overwhelmed and desperate to get out of this firm.. Thoughts/advice?

We encountered an issue with a car dealership client where they record a used car in their inventory based on their current valuation and a lower cost is paid for the purchased cars. They call the difference as "undernet" and this practice is common for the industry as per client. Based on IAS 2 an inventory should be recognised lower of cost or NRV. Anyone who encountered this issue with their client before? Can you share your experience and how did you resolve this issue?
