What are people’s thoughts/feelings on the out-of-office/auto-reply when an atty’s attention is focused on one matter (I.e. “I’m in a full day hearing, so my response will be delayed”). My initial reaction was: you’re not really out. You’re still doing your job, your job at the time just happens to be exclusively one case.

I hate rejecting interviewees. :( some of them are genuinely nice people and I think many of them have potentials, but just not the right fit for my team because of skill sets and experience level. I know there’s no perfect candidate and all but some are just not going to be the right hires. It’s ny first time hiring ppl so it feels very uncomfortable and guilty. And I think “hiring based on attitude” is very idealistic and not applicable in most real life scenarios
I’m currently in the US and work with a director at Deloitte UK. He and another director there have said multiple times they’d love for me to come over and work for them at Deloitte UK. Do you think I could convince the firm to throw in a relocation package in an offer? If not, I couldn’t afford to foot the move alone.

Any info/advice appreciated! Thank you 😊

Been in media planning for almost a year now after graduating with an advertising major.
